In 2012 the Youngstown State University Retirees Association (YSURA) Board of Directors embarked on a campaign to establish a scholarship endowment to continue our tradition of support for YSU students. If you wish to apply for this scholarship, please read and follow the instructions below.
Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum overall GPA of 2.7 for undergraduate and 3.0 for graduate degree applicants at YSU
- Junior or senior student with a declared major or graduate student pursuing a degree
- Extra-curricular activities, special accomplishments, work experience and need may also be considered
Application Requirements
- Online application submitted by the February 15 deadline
- Essay of approximately 500 words titled “My YSU Experience”
- Three letters of recommendation (at least one must be from a faculty member in a course you have taken in your major)
- Unofficial transcript for undergraduate courses and, if applicable, graduate courses
